Last updated: February 16, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Symmetria at symmetriachem.com (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms at any time - continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.

2. Description of Service

Symmetria is an interactive 3D chemistry education platform. We provide molecule visualization, reaction mechanism animations, and scored practice modules. The Service is designed as a supplementary learning tool and is not an accredited educational institution. We do not guarantee any specific academic outcomes.

3. User Accounts

To access practice modules, you must create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate account information
  • Maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access

You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts for the purpose of circumventing restrictions.

4. Payment Terms

  • The Practice Bundle is a one-time purchase of $32 USD, granting lifetime access to all current and future practice modules.
  • Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By making a purchase, you also agree to Stripe's Services Agreement.
  • All prices are in US dollars. You are responsible for any applicable taxes.
  • Refund policy: As digital goods are delivered immediately upon purchase, all sales are final. If you experience a technical issue preventing access, contact us and we will work to resolve it.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to access the Service in a manner that degrades performance for others
  • Share, resell, or redistribute paid content
  • Interfere with the security or integrity of the Service

6. Intellectual Property

All content on Symmetria - including 3D models, animations, educational text, illustrations, and software - is owned by Symmetria or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial educational purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

7. User Data

Your practice progress, quiz scores, and activity data are stored in your account. You retain ownership of any data you generate through your use of the Service. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party providers including Stripe (payment processing), Supabase (authentication and database), Vercel (hosting), and Resend (email delivery). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Educational content is provided for supplementary learning and may contain errors - it should not be relied upon as the sole source of academic information.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Symmetria shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Symmetria and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of or related to your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification).

13. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining Terms remain in full force and effect.
